Designed to be a replacement PDU for aircraft
equipped with the Boeing Power Roller System. It is an alternative to PDU’s
available through the Boeing Aircraft Corp. and is used in the Aero Union
cargo systems. The PDU controls the movement of cargo forward, aft and
laterally on the main deck of the 747 freighter. The PDU also stops the
movement of cargo in the aircraft when the brake in the motor is engaged.
